The Lija Tennis Club was founded in 1993 to run the then new
tennis court built in the Lija Recreational Centre. The Club
has only one court and a small Club House.
A committee made up of seven members, elected every two
years during the Annual General Meeting, is the legal tenant
of this property passed on to it by the Malta Sports
Council.
The Club, with an average of 100 members, holds regular
tournaments, coaching clinics, seminars and social
activities. The surface of the court is very well maintained
and the lighting system was recently overhauled. |
