Pembroke Rackets Tennis Club was established in 1980 by a
group of tennis enthusiasts from the Balluta area. In 1981
the club began organizing singles league & K.O. competitions
at the courts the club now occupies in St. Andrews.
With the rise of social tennis in the nineties, doubles
tennis began to form a large part of the club’s tennis
calendar, and floodlights were installed in 1997.
In 2008 the club introduced St. Andrews Tennis School to
establish Junior Coaching on a sound footing.
The club’s two tennis courts are a hive of tennis activity,
and there are ongoing discussions with the authorities with
a view to expand facilities.
